James Samons

James Samons is the Director of Permian Operations for EnerCorp, responsible for overseeing operations in the Permian Basin. James leverages his extensive background in quality management and operations to drive performance, efficiencies, and reputation.

James began his career in private manufacturing, managing safety and training for multiple facilities. It was during this time that he honed his skills in lean manufacturing and quality management. Following his stint in manufacturing, James served in law enforcement for six years before transitioning to the US Navy reserves and later embarking on a career in private security contracting. Over nine years, he served as a Team Leader and Tactical Commander for various security teams, providing close personal protection for US dignitaries and key defense personnel in Japan and the Middle East. In 2014, James joined Halliburton's PWR division as a Manager, overseeing wireline pressure control operations. After Halliburton, He held various leadership roles in the industry, including West Texas Production Manager and Wireline Pressure Control Product Line Manager, before joining EnerCorp in 2021.

Outside of work, James enjoys hunting and outdoor activities with his wife and their five children, four boys, and one girl.
