COST SAVINGS CASE STUDY

Operator Saves 26% on the Day Rate With eFlowback

  • Bullet Point Icon
Optimize the workforce by reducing the number of personnel to one per location (compared to four with Flowback 2.0), and thereby lowering HSE exposure.
  • Bullet Point Icon
Gain efficiency of operation and accurately weigh 800 lbs of sand with the Sand Quantification Unit at one time, compared to 50 lbs as done previously.
  • Bullet Point Icon
Minimize high-exposure tasks such as auto-dumping sand from the cyclone. This task is now fully automated, which eliminates the potential for human exposure.
  • Bullet Point Icon
Eliminate limits on their choke schedule and blowdowns as compared to what can be done manually. There is no need to hold chokes at certain sand rates because eFlowback captures and weighs exceptionally high quantities of sand.
  • Bullet Point Icon
Gain consistent data collection, such as sand quantity and choke position. This helps make better decisions on how to open the wells. Accurate data collection also helps the customer correlate completions and flowback. The data collected is safe and secure at all times.
  • Bullet Point Icon
Improve environmental security by safeguarding against any leaks to the atmosphere and the surrounding environment.

ADVANCED CYCLONE CASE STUDY

SAHARA REDUCES DAMAGE CHARGES IN THE HAYNESVILLE BY CAPTURING OVER 99% OF SAND

Four phase separator dump valve stem

Over the course of the 16-day flowback, the Sahara Advanced Cyclone captured well over 99% of the sand produced on this well. The result? Minimal washed parts downstream of the Sahara.  A photo of the stem on the separator dump valve is shown to the right – it is in like-new condition post-job showing no wear or damage.

With the Sahara Advanced Cyclone, this client was ensured that no sand was making it to the production facility — reducing damages to the permanent facility and eliminating any need for cleanout operations and the associated cost.

OUTPERFORMS COMPETITOR “ADVANCED” CYCLONE IN THE MARCELLUS SHALE

Our client was using multiple different sand separators in series as part of their flowback as well as during the early production stage of their well’s life. However, even with this kind of layout, they were still getting sand in their Gas Processing Units (GPUs). This led to a lot of damaged equipment in their production facility as well as the need to shut in their well periodically to clean out the GPU. They were looking for a more effective sand separator and narrowed their search to two “advanced cyclones” for a field trial.

SAHARA TECHNOLOGY CAPTURES 99.7% OF SAND IN THE PERMIAN BASIN

One of our valued clients was running two sand separators and a three-phase test separator during their flowbacks. However, the production facilities were sized for peak rates, so they did not need the mobile test separator for measurement purposes. This meant that they were using all of this equipment to capture sand to simply keep it from damaging their production facility. This was not a cost-efficient setup.
