Get field sand quantification data at your fingertips

Decision making without data is just guesswork.

From production engineers who use field data to optimize choke settings, lift parameters, and dump cycles to field supervisors who use data to manage maintenance schedules, having real-time access to sand production data is essential.

However, providing a secure, direct connection between field equipment and customer platforms isn’t as easy as it sounds—which is why EnerCorp is once again pioneering the way in sand management innovation.

Introducing SandLink, a platform that securely brings operational data from the field to our customers’ fingertips. Learn what SandLink is, why you need it, and how it benefits your operation.

The importance of sand production data

SandLink by EnerCorp offers a secure way for customers to have real-time access to sand production data that is captured in the field by our eFlowback and SmartSahara solutions. This includes sand quantification metrics as well as related process and operational data, and is delivered in a modern, standards-based format that can be consumed directly within the customer’s own systems.

Our customers, which include operators across the United States, Canada, South America, and the Middle East, use this data in a number of ways, including:

  • Well health monitoring for better well surveillance and proactive intervention scheduling
  • Safety and asset production to reduce downtime, have fewer unplanned maintenance events, and for safer operations
  • Separator and flowback optimization for more efficient solids handling and lower sand disposal costs
  • Artificial lift management to ensure longer lift equipment life and fewer workovers
  • Sand disposal logistics for transparent cost control and accurate invoice validation
  • Production analytics and forecasting for more accurate reservoir insights
  • Remote continuous operations for predictive maintenance

With real-time access to this data directly in their own SCADA, analytics, or data platforms, customers are able to make faster, more informed business decisions with a high degree of confidence..

Before SandLink, EnerCorp was one of the only service providers offering customers a way to access their sand production data. With eFlowback and SmartSahara, we are able to provide customers access to their data in two different ways:

Direct PLC-to-PLC integration

Our PLC sends real-time data directly into the customer’s PLC. Benefits of this setup include real-time visibility, integration with existing control workflows, and a familiar system for most automation teams. However, this option also has some limitations, such as requiring IT/OT network approval, cybersecurity concerns with interconnected networks, and on-site setup and testing at every new pad.

SCADA access and historical exports

With this method, customers log into our SCADA system to view trends and download historical data. This offers immediate access to live and historical data, an easy way to export into Excel, and a low barrier to entry. However, limitations include manual file handling, custom scripts, and difficulty scaling across multiple systems and datasets. Customers also have to use our platform instead of theirs.

In traditional data-sharing models, operational data often passes through multiple layers — from PLCs to SCADA systems, then into historians, data lakes, and analytics platforms. Each step introduces additional configuration, data mapping, maintenance, and latency.

While these two ways still offer customers using eFlowback and SmartSahara access to their sand production data, we knew there was a better way to get the job done that was more efficient and highly secure. And so we developed SandLink.

SandLink streams real-time operational data directly to the customer’s SCADA, data lake, historian, or analytics platform — automatically, with zero recurring setup per site. It offers the benefits of real-time data with enterprise-level security.

  • One-time onboarding: Once SandLink is set up in your system, you receive real-time sand production data consistently. Data from every new pad publishes automatically. No additional setup required.
  • Enterprise-grade security: With certificate-authenticated (mTLS) end-to-end encryption, customers can rest assured their systems and their data are safe at all times.
  • Customizable data access: SandLink uses least-privilege access controls for each dataset, so you can ensure the right people have access to specific data without opening up your system to possible vulnerabilities.
  • Automated data sharing: There is no need for manual exports, scripting, or on-site network changes. Data is published and shared automatically from every pad.
  • Easy integration: SandLink uses open, standards-based protocols that allow customers to connect using their existing SCADA, historian, or analytics tools — without custom adapters or proprietary software.
  • Direct system consumption: Data is published in a modern, structured format that can be consumed directly by the customer’s end system — eliminating the need for multi-stage data pipelines (PLC → SCADA → Historian → Data Lake) and ongoing data re-mapping.

SandLink offers secure, structured, real-time operational data directly into your own systems. Using mutual TLS, encrypted transport, and least-privilege data access, SandLink eliminates manual data handling, reduces on-site integration costs, and provides a scalable, modern pathway for enterprise analytics and automation.

SandLink delivers measurable value for operators

The proof is in the numbers. With SandLink, our customers report seeing measurable value in three key areas:

  • Operations: Data from SandLink helps operators reduce downtime and equipment wear, improve separator uptime and flow assurance, and decrease site visits and manual reporting.
  • Financial: With access to secure real-time data, you can validate disposal and hauling invoices, extend lift system life and prevent failures, enable predictive maintenance, and lower operating expenses.
  • Safety: SandLink keeps your site and your team safe. Use the data to reduce pipe erosion risks and uncontrolled release events, ensure fewer on-site exposure hours, and improve processes for monitoring during flowback.
