It was determined that rather than taking the traditional approach of using lost circulation material, which can be both expensive and time consuming, a special blend of cement needed to be pumped down the conductor to seal up the fractures in the formation that were causing the loss circulation.
This solution saved several hours, if not days, and kept the customer on track to bring in the “big rig”.
