At EnerCorp, we are committed to continued improvement and training. This is true for our field operations as well as our office staff.
Our HR team recently attended a conference hosted by The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). This is the largest HR focused organization in the world. They host regular events through local chapters and an annual conference that brings all the local chapters together.
The 2022 conference was held in New Orleans, and it brought roughly 20,000 HR professionals together providing an amazing opportunity for networking and continued learning. Each EnerCorp HR team member attended 21 training sessions in four days covering a variety of topics including employee engagement, mental health, the Great Resignation, HR as a strategic partner, DEI, personal development, legal updates, and many other relevant topics. The week was closed with an amazing general session hosted by SHRM’s President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor Jr and 43rd President George W. Bush.
Of course, they also got to have a little bit of fun enjoying amazing creole food, a stroll through the French Quarter, and a local concert making it a perfect team building event for the HR folks.
