At EnerCorp, caring is one of our core values, and our commitment to safety and support is exemplified through the “Brother’s Keeper” award. This prestigious recognition is reserved for those who go above and beyond in demonstrating extraordinary compassion and quick thinking during critical situations. Recently, Aaron Zamora, one of our dedicated team members, was honored with this award for his exceptional actions. Aaron is only the fifth EnerCorp employee to receive this award.
During a routine procedure to pull an H2S sample from a test separator, a third-party safety representative was exposed to H2S. Aaron Zamora provided immediate first aid and assessment while another contractor ensured the safety of the area to prevent further exposure.
Recognizing the severity of the situation, Aaron utilized the SCBA in positive-pressure mode to assist the contractor with breathing. Despite these efforts while waiting for EMS to arrive, the individual’s condition continued to deteriorate. Aaron made the decision to drive the safety rep to meet the ambulance to ensure he received immediate medical attention.
Aaron’s bravery, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others embody the spirit of the “Brother’s Keeper” award. His decisive actions and selflessness serve as a testament to EnerCorp’s values and our dedication to ensuring the utmost care and support for all those within our community.
