Five years ago, Travis Rothenburger walked into the old Midland Yard as an E&I technician contractor to help us troubleshoot a prototype almost nobody else could read. Today he runs the whole Shop and Yard.
Travis joined the EnerCorp story at the very beginning of eFlowback, back when our original Smart Sahara Prototype was still the “mod cyclone” and we were testing out the first 4-phase test separator. He was brought in to solve a problem. He solved it, and then kept solving every one after it. The reputation formed fast: there was nothing Travis couldn’t fix.
When we launched eFlowback, we knew he had exactly what it took to make it succeed in the field. We hired him, and he owned the fleet, worked his life around rigups and priority jobs, and set a standard the rest of us measured ourselves against. Shirt tucked, glasses clean, truck decked out in eFlowback and EnerCorp logos, and always the first to grab his tools and get to work. If it wasn’t done right, it wasn’t done.
As we grew, so did Travis. He helped build and launch our eFlowback Certified Operator program, and he leads the way he works: explaining the why while he fixes the what, so every operator around him comes away knowing more. He moved his family to Midland to go all in, became our eFlowback Manager, and is now Operations Manager for MidlandOne, overseeing eFlowback and all shop operations.
Through all of it he has stayed the same person we met five years ago: a proud husband and father, a relentless believer in this technology and this culture, and someone who is always looking for the next thing to do better.
Travis, thank you for five years of bleeding Tan and Green. We are proud to have you, and we cannot wait to watch you keep leading.
Congratulations on your work anniversary.
