At EnerCorp, safety isn’t just a policy — it’s a mindset we live out every day. Recently, Chris Wright, a lead in our Grande Prairie Production Fabrication Shop, set the bar high by doing exactly that.
Chris earned the top company-wide SOC (Safety Observation Card) award with a simple but powerful decision:
When his team was preparing for a critical lift, they realized the slings on hand weren’t the right length. Instead of risking it, Chris paused the job, raised the concern, and worked with a manager to get the correct equipment. No shortcuts. No compromises. A perfect example of proactive, accountable safety leadership.
His action may seem small, but it prevented a potentially dangerous situation — and that’s what our SOC program is all about. Every team member has the power to speak up, take ownership, and make our worksites safer.
