At EnerCorp, we’re proud to work alongside people who bring their whole selves to what they do — creativity, conviction, and courage included. Recently, two members of the EnerCorp 1Team published books that reflect those qualities in powerful ways.
Gareth Young has launched a children’s book series beginning with The ABCs of Creation. Written in a playful, rhyming style inspired by reading to his own daughters, Gareth’s books are designed to help young readers discover the wonders of God’s creation and biblical stories in an engaging, age-appropriate way. The series continues with Noah and the Ark: A Rhyming Storybook and You Are Mine, offering families meaningful stories they can share together.
JD Leach authored Behind Closed Eyes, a deeply honest memoir that sheds light on the unseen realities of juvenile detention. Told from lived experience, the book exposes a system where childhood is often lost too early and mercy is scarce. It’s a powerful testament — not of victimhood, but of truth — giving voice to stories rarely heard and challenging readers to confront the cost of justice without compassion.
These books may be very different in tone, but they share something important: the courage to tell meaningful stories that matter.
Congratulations to Gareth and JD on these incredible accomplishments. Your voices, creativity, and authenticity are inspiring.
