A Letter of Thanks From The Canadian Oilfields Riders

Dynacorp received the following letter of thanks from the Canadian Oilfield Riders as one of its 2017 event sponsors.

Good morning All,

The Canadian Oilfield Riders would like to thank everyone who came out to make this year an amazing event. Thanks to all of you and all of our sponsors, we were able to present the Children’s Wish Foundation with a cheque for $17,000.00. Once again, Bill Karran submitted the largest pledge sheet by collecting a little over $1000.00 in individual donations We don’t do enough to promote our pledge sheet but Bill has been able to demonstrate that it doesn’t take long to get a bunch of small donations to add up to a large number. I would like to give a big shout out to everyone that was able to make an additional donation to the Children’s Wish Foundation on our behalf and also thank Garry Hagen for being the largest individual donor this year.

This year a few of our sponsors stepped up and donated some great draw prizes that included a couple of Go Pros, an IPod, a blue tooth stereo along with various gift cards that we raffled off and were won by Shane Davies, Bruce Spies, Pat Bryans, Scott Smith, Fran Schlamb Shelly Masson and Edie Roe. We also had 5 $100.00 card stop prizes that were won by Vince Farkas, Melvin Nielsen, Betty Grace, and Gonzo Womack.

Now that the 29th anniversary Canadian oilfield Riders run in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation is behind us, The Canadian Oilfield Riders executive committee is already working on making our 30 anniversary run on Saturday June 16/2018, our biggest and best ride ever. As always, we welcome your comments, input and suggestions.

Remember – if you have a photograph of this year’s run that you think might make a good poster, be sure to submit it. As we saw this year, the banners created from the poster are getting to be a valuable ($1600 paid at the auction) collector’s item, as well as a fine addition to any garage. We’ve been enjoying seeing everyone’s pictures on the Canadian Oilfield Riders Facebook page, please keep them coming!
